MusIQ Club Back by Popular Demand
MusIQ Club is the most unique, comprehensive, affordable and fun instrumental music instruction available today! In MusIQ Club all ages can learn to read music, play piano with both hands, improvise and compose. MusIQ Club is led by Dr. Bill Bailey, a concert-pianist and veteran music teacher who is the designer of the program which makes use of interactive software and MIDI piano keyboards.

Riford Readers' Theatre
Calling all armchair actors and attendant audiences! We invite you to a spontaneous reading of Terence 
Rattigan’s, “Table Number Seven,” one of his two one-acts comprising Separate Tables. There are parts for all readers, with roles for 8 women and 3 men—and plenty of opportunity for shared spotlights! So join us on for this unrehearsed reading, directed by Roberta Wolff.

Art Classes: Pastels & Figure Drawing
Pastel Painting with Valerie Grischy
Students will learn various Pastel 
techniques of application to achieve the style of pastel they are seeking. All skill levels welcome! Valerie has won many awards since she entered her first contest in her first year of painting. She won an award for her first entry in the San Diego County fair, winning a third place in the open class category. Since then, she has gone on to win awards every year. She is currently a member of the Allied Artists Association of San Diego and has a passion for teaching art!

Head and Figure Drawing Class with Mark Slusser
Mark will be discussing the most common problems in 
drawing the head and figure along with the solutions. Taught with patience, humor, and the practical goal that you will be able to enjoy drawing for the rest of your life, this course is designed for absolute beginners and those who wish to refresh their drawing skills. Guiding you toward your own personal style, the class explores key techniques of drawing and different ways they can be creatively combined. Using time honored teaching methods, one on one instruction and demonstration, drawing will be demystified, making it easy and rewarding to learn to draw in just 6 weeks!

A Feast for the Senses
Join us for an extraordinary evening: A Feast for the Senses: Music, Art, and 
Delicious Food and Wine. We will be graced with the presence of Opera Tenor and composer: Daniel Hendrick. With his rich tenor voice, reminiscent of famed tenor, Aureliano Pertile, he will perform opera and selections from his Latin American musical, "Desano." South Africa Under Apartheid
Hillel Mazansky, MD, began the practice of medicine in South Africa in 1969 and immigrated to the United States in 1977. He began medical practice in Cleveland, Ohio in 1978 and retired to La Jolla in 1994. Having grown up in South Africa during the apartheid era, Dr. Mazansky is well versed with the politics of the times and comes to us this evening to share his insights and experiences during this most contentious period of South African political history.
Dr. Mazansky will discuss the politics of the time then and now: he will also compare the similarities between the apartheid system, which lasted from 1948 through 1994, and the Civil Rights movement of the 1960’s in the United States.
